I tried this recipe from http://www.cok.net, and thought it was great and wanted to share it! I got their lovely permission to post this recipe here.
Golden Mushroom Soup
Serves 6
* 2 onions, chopped
* 1 pound mushrooms, sliced
* 1 tablespoon paprika
* 1 1/2 teaspoons dill
* 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
* 3 tablespoons soy sauce
* 1 cup water or vegetable stock
* 1 tablespoon olive oil
* 2 tablespoons unbleached flour
* 2 cups soy or rice milk
* 2 tablespoons lemon juice
Heat 1/2 cup of water in a large pot and add the onions. Cook over high heat, stirring often, until the onions are soft and all the water has evaporated, about 5 minutes. Add another 1/4 cup of water, stir to loosen any bits of onion stuck to the pan, and continue cooking until most of the water has evaporated and the onions begin to brown, about 3 minutes.
Add the mushrooms and spices. Slightly lower the heat, cover, and cook 5 minutes, stirring frequently.
Add the soy sauce and water or vegetable stock. Cover and simmer about 10 minutes.
In a separate pan, mix the olive oil and flour to form a thick paste. Cook, stirring constantly, for 1 minute, then whisk in the vegan milk and cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, until steamy and slightly thickened.
Add the vegan milk mixture to the soup. Stir in the lemon juice just before serving.
My only regret is, I didn't have plane soy, only Vanilla, so it gave to soup a but of a sweet taste, other than that. It was delicious! Try it!

Haha its thundering here. Though I'm not going to the Long Reach graduation, I congradulate them all and wish them well!
In all the irony of this graduation. Long Reach's mascot is Lightning, and its pretty thundery out right now! Hahaha, I do love our mascot because its a non-living thing, while most mascots are like "bears" or "wolves" ours was just a force of nature.
Well. I haven't drawn anything in days, but hopefully I'll draw soon.
Focusing on trying to get my daily schedule written out so I can stop sleeping in till noon and stop staying up will sunrise. I want to get a life.
I am also writing out my Vegan meal plans, and shopping list.
I need to eat better.
Though, I have lost weight. I've lost a total of 20 pounds since the year began. So losing 5 pounds a month aint bad! The first 5 pounds came of when I get sick with swine flu, 5 more pounds melted off during my Hawaii trip to Kawaii-kon, and the last 10 pounds fell off when I made the transition to becoming a Vegan. I'VE BEEN VEGAN FOR 30 DAYS! I've never been happier! I dont miss cheese or eggs at all! The first 2 times I tried I failed because I loved cheese. But for some reason this third time has been a no brainer. I really thought to myself, "Is it natural for humans to drink mother's milk from other animals?" "Is it attractive to eat something that came from a bird's vagina?" "Is it right to consume these things?" After I asked myself those things. It became a no brainer.
Though, my sister and dad have been trying to tempt me. "Want to order pizza, I'll buy it for you?" "Want a custard filled donut?" "Want some truffles dipped in chocolate?"
Even my manager has been trying to tempt me by offering me some fresh baked cookies.
But its been easy to say no. Part of me feels guilty for declining offers, but I know I'd feel way more guilty to consume these things. I'm sticking to my decision, and I hope they will learn to respect it.
Preparing for Otakon 2009, it is exciting.
I painted a hat that will be sold. I had a blank red hat laying around and thought "Well, FMA: Brotherhood might be a big thing, lets paint Ed on it."
Last week I also painted Allelujah and Hallelujah on some old ugly shoes I had.

Theres not much I can tell you about myself, but heres just a few things.
My current favorite anime series right now is Gundam 00. I watched all 50 episodes twice, [since I'm a loser with no life] I cant wait for the movie in 2010.
I am a Vegan, [a person who does not eat any animals or animal products such as milk, egg, honey. I also do not wear leather, wool, feathers, fur, or anything else derived from animals]
Right now I am preparing for the anime convention, Otakon. I've been going to Otakon since 2003, and this year will be my first year to be selling in the Artist Alley. Wish me luck.
